Here are the three heroines of this blend:
Certified Organic Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum & Ocimum gratissimum)
Our beloved Tulsi (Holy Basil), Ayurveda’s Queen of Herbs, contains a unique, highly complex chemistry of hundreds of different beneficial compounds known as phytochemicals. Working together, these compounds possess strong antioxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, adaptogenic (anti-stress) and immune-enhancing properties that promote general health and support the body’s natural defence against germs, stress and disease. This blend includes all three of our Tulsi species: aromatic Krishna, calming Rama and lemony Vana Tulsi. The essential oils in the leaves of Tulsi contribute to the beautiful fragrance and refreshing flavor.
Certified Organic Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)
Ashwagandha has long been revered in Ayurveda as a tonic that promotes vitality, energy and endurance; to give you the ‘strength of a stallion’!
The very well-known Ayurvedic herb Ashwagandha which, like Tulsi, supports stamina,
soothes the nervous system, supports restful sleep and nourishes the adrenals. Ashwagandha also supports healthy sleep by calming the mind, lowering stress hormones and supporting blood sugar to prevent crashes that make it difficult to sleep through the night. (2)
Tulsi and Ashwagandha work together as adaptogens to naturally calm and support the body’s response to any form of stress – mental, physical, emotional and environmental, to regain homeostasis.
Certified Organic Green Tea (Camellia sinensis)
Green tea is super refreshing, mildly stimulating but with less caffeine than coffee or black tea. It is perhaps best known for having a high concentration of antioxidants, protecting cells from free radical damage. Studies have reported health benefits of green tea for a wide variety of ailments including heart disease, liver disease, diabetes and obesity. (3)
