The Doshas

However, our diet and lifestyle can lead to various stages of imbalance in any of these aspects, disrupting our sense of wellbeing. When the doshas are balanced, we feel happy, healthy, clear thinking, calm and have good energy.
Using herbs regularly is a natural and effective way to assist the body to come back into balance. A food is considered to be tridoshic if it is balancing to all three doshas. According to the ancient, classic Ayurvedic Text, Charaka Samhita, Tulsi is considered to be warming, and as being balancing to Vata and Kapha, and to increase Pitta.

For example, a herbal infusion that contains many warming herbs and some cooling herbs will give you the benefits of the warmth, such as digestive support, but without being overly heating to Pitta dosha, it is therefore balanced in its effect: i.e. tridoshic.
Drinking Tulsi Tea can have so many benefits. If you are unsure if Tulsi is right for you, we recommend introducing one cup daily and then gradually increasing to find the quantity that supports you best.
