The good news for ORGANIC INDIA tea drinkers is that our tea bags are made from unbleached filter paper, which comes from the cellulose fibre of the Abaca Plant. They’re unbleached, chemical-free & biodegradable, therefore completely safe to compost.
Additionally, the tags on the tea bag use soy-based ink. We’ve also invested in new machinery to enable our bags to become staple-free, instead, they are being tied with a cotton thread.

Brewing
Pour freshly boiled water over an infusion bag or loose leaf in a cup. Cover your mug with a lid (or a small plate) and let steep for 10 minutes (or longer).
To double the strength add 2 bags or a second spoon full, it is best doubled when serving iced.
Please remember that Ayurveda recommends consuming hot or warm drinks for optimal digestion. To continue your daily wellness practice over Summer you can consume Tulsi at room temperature by leaving your tea to cool. If adding ice to cool your drink, ensure it is melted before consuming.

How much caffeine is in your tea?
Most of our Tulsi Teas are naturally caffeine-free, as they are herbal teas. Green tea is a lesser processed form of the same tea plant (Camellia sinensis) that is used to make black tea, with lower caffeine content. Therefore several of our flavours available worldwide that contain green or black tea do have caffeine. These are the approximate caffeine levels: Tulsi India Breakfast Tea: 25 mg/serving, Tulsi Green Tea: 12 mg/serving, Tulsi Pomegranate Green Tea: 10 mg/serving, Tulsi Chai Masala Tea : 12 mg/serving
What is in the natural flavour listed in the ingredient panel?
Our natural flavourings are made from pure, organic, unadulterated fruit extracts or essential oils.
We’ve known for decades that phrase, “natural flavours,” found at the bottom of ingredient lists on consumer products has typically been very misleading shorthand for hiding all sorts of unnatural synthetic and often toxic things in products. And so we really want you to know that when you see reference to natural “flavours” on our Tulsi Tea boxes you are not just getting something that is truly natural, but incredible pure nectarous extracts of high-quality herbs and spices.
If a flavour is named “Rose Flavour,” then guess what, it will be made from organic roses. If it says “Honey Flavour” then it is made from organic honey. Basically, by adding high-quality flavours extracts we are also increasing the medicinal facets of these herbal blends. The following teas do not contain any natural flavourings: Tulsi Original, Tulsi Breakfast (contains caffeine), Tulsi Gotu Kola, Tulsi Green (contains caffeine), Tulsi Masala Chai (contains caffeine) and Tulsi Peppermint.
How long can I store ORGANIC INDIA Tulsi blends?
We recommend that you consume the product within two years of the manufacturing date. Keep it in a cool, dry place in an airtight container, away from direct sunlight.
